HSS Tungsten Buffer (H4) - 6.5 ounces
The Heavy Stainless Steel Tungsten buffer (H4) was developed for the 5.56 round, but it also works great with 7.62x39mm. These buffers weigh 6.5 ounces - More than twice the weight of OEM carbine buffers.
We start with solid 303 Stainless Steel and add reciprocating anti-bounce internal weights for the "Dead-Blow" effect. None of our Heavy Buffers have messy powders or fluids inside that will eventually leak (they always do) and muck up your gun's internals.
Any serious carbine shooter will benefit from installing a HSS buffer - increased reliability, less wear/tear on critical internal parts, and reduced bolt bounce. We recommend Wolff XP buffer springs for maximum reliability. OEM springs and lesser aftermarket springs (including Sprinco ROYGBIV) may cause malfunctions. 'Flat-Wire' springs are not recommended for any application.
Note: We cannot guarantee proper function with subsonic ammo. There are significant differences in specifications among the various brands of ammo and firearms manufacturers. Some guns will run great with almost any ammo, other guns may not function reliably with any subsonics. This is all beyond our control.
