We recommend Wolff XP buffer springs for most AR-15 applications. These springs are about 10% stronger than most OEM springs, and provide much more reliable operation.
The springs for our .308 carbine Heavy Buffers are custom manufactured to our specs, and the .308 rifle buffer springs are exact same springs used in ArmaLite AR-10s.
In my opinion the springs we offer represent the best performance AND value for our customers. The service life in most cases is 3500 rounds or more. Choosing the wrong buffer pring frequently leads to reliability issues.
In our extensive testing flat wire buffer springs have never performed well, in spite of all the marketing hype. In some cases even the cheapest OEM buffer springs functioned much better than "flat wires".

This black Delrin spacer allows you to use a carbine-length buffer and spring in a rifle-length stock/buffer tube.

Note: We cannot guarantee proper function with subsonic ammo. There are significant differences in specifications among the various brands of ammo and firearms manufacturers. Some guns will run great with almost any ammo, other guns may not function reliably with any subsonics. This is all beyond our control.
